Frequently Asked Questions
FilmPilot.ai is a suite of AI-assisted tools designed to help filmmakers polish their screenplays and visualize their films before entering pre-production. We provide services like simulated audience reviews, character images, script criticism, and AI-generated pilot videos.
Scripts work best when rated PG-13 or lower. While we attempt to sanitize content to make it safe for our AI services, image and video generation services may restrict or refuse R-rated or higher content.
Using our proprietary Audience Simulator AI, we create a virtual group of over fifty individual traits. They 'watch' a simulated screening based on your screenplay and provide personalized ratings, critiques, and demographic information.
Yes! If you provide a real shooting location, we can estimate the budget to produce your film. If no location is specified, Los Angeles is used as the default.
Depending on your package, you can receive an AI-generated 'one shot first pass' pilot video. These can be applied to the first ten pages or the entire script, using standard or advanced AI models.
We follow the industry standard '1 page = 1 minute' rule. In professional screenwriting, one page of a properly formatted script typically translates to approximately one minute of screen time. This metric is used to determine the maximum length of AI-generated videos and other features included in our packages. For example, a 10-page script is estimated as a 10-minute production for the purpose of our AI generation limits.
For the best results with FilmPilot.ai, your screenplay should follow the standard industry format. A standard script uses Courier 12pt font and includes clear scene headings starting with 'INT.' or 'EXT.', character names in uppercase, and centered dialogue.
