FilmPilot uses the standard guideline that approximately one screenplay page represents one minute of screen time. The requested runtime guides generation, but the final page count can vary with story structure and formatting.

Yes. You can edit your saved project details until you mark the order ready for processing. Once it is ready, the details lock and processing begins.

Scripts work best when rated PG-13 or lower. While we attempt to sanitize content to make it safe for our AI services, image and video generation services may restrict or refuse R-rated or higher content.

Yes! If you provide a real shooting location, we can estimate the budget to produce your film. If no location is specified, Los Angeles is used as the default.

The Screenplay Opening Scorecard is a detailed analysis of your screenplay's opening pages. It evaluates seven key metrics — Opening Clarity, Character Introduction, Visual Storytelling, Dialogue Effectiveness, Pacing, Production Complexity, and Reader Momentum — and provides an Overall Opening Score out of 100. Each metric includes a score with a visual bar, and you receive an optional shareable image of your scorecard. It's included with all plans, including the Free Demo.

We follow the industry standard '1 page = 1 minute' rule. In professional screenwriting, one page of a properly formatted script typically translates to approximately one minute of screen time. This metric is used to determine the maximum length of AI-generated videos and other features included in our packages. For example, a 10-page script is estimated as a 10-minute production for the purpose of our AI generation limits.

For the best results with FilmPilot.ai, your screenplay should follow the standard industry format. A standard script uses Courier 12pt font and includes clear scene headings starting with 'INT.' or 'EXT.', character names in uppercase, and centered dialogue.

Spreadsheets like the production breakdown and VFX breakdown are delivered as CSV files that open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application. Images such as character images, movie posters, and costume design concept boards are delivered as high-quality JPEG files. The sample theme song is delivered as an MP3 audio file, and AI-generated pilot videos are delivered as video files playable on any standard media player. All deliverables are packaged together in a single zip file for easy download.

Yes, you can use copyrighted or trademarked material, but you must have the necessary permissions, rights, or licenses to do so. We do not restrict your inputs as many users legitimately hold the rights to the materials they use. However, the legal responsibility for ensuring you have those rights lies solely with you.

In most cases, you should receive your order typically within 30 minutes. However, please understand that our service is new, so there may be exceptions where it takes slightly longer as we scale our capacity.

No. You retain 100% ownership and copyright of your original screenplay. Under US and international copyright law, you are the legal owner of your original creative work the moment it is created in a tangible form. Uploading it to FilmPilot.ai for analysis does not constitute a transfer of rights or a waiver of copyright. Our service is a tool for processing and analysis, not a publishing platform, and your work does not enter the public domain by being uploaded here.

No! We retain no rights or ownership of your work. We do not share your script with anyone else. It remains private and secure throughout the entire process.

No. We only keep a copy of it long enough to run the processes necessary for your purchased plan. Once the analysis and generation process is complete, we remove all uploaded files from our active processing systems to ensure your privacy and security.
