Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 27, 2026
Welcome to FilmPilot.ai. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, purchasing services, or using FilmPilot.ai, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.
2. Description of Services
FilmPilot.ai provides AI-powered screenplay analysis, pre-production insights, storyboard generation, character design, and related creative services. Services are delivered digitally and subject to the package purchased.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Purchases and Payments
All purchases are processed through our secure payment provider. Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change. Once payment is confirmed, orders are non-refundable except as required by law.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the screenplays and materials you upload. FilmPilot.ai retains rights to the AI-generated outputs we create. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the deliverables for your production purposes.
6. Content Ownership and Usage
By uploading content to our platform, you grant FilmPilot.ai a limited license to process, analyze, and generate deliverables based on your materials. We will not share, sell, or publicly disclose your scripts or materials without your consent.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt our services
- Use our services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
- Resell or redistribute our services without written permission
8. Content Restrictions and AI Service Limitations
Our services utilize third-party AI providers that have content policies and restrictions. Scripts work best when rated PG-13 or lower. While we will scan your script and attempt to sanitize content if necessary, we cannot guarantee that your script will be accepted or successfully processed by our AI service providers. We are not responsible if your script is rejected, flagged, or fails to process due to content restrictions, and no refunds will be issued for such cases.
9. Production Duration and Estimation
FilmPilot.ai uses the industry standard for screenplay estimation, where one (1) page of a properly formatted screenplay is approximately equal to one (1) minute of screen time. This metric is used to determine the maximum length of AI-generated videos and other related deliverables included in our packages. We are not responsible for discrepancies in actual timing or performance of the script.
10. Screenplay Formatting and Quality
Users are responsible for ensuring that uploaded screenplays adhere to standard industry formatting. This includes the use of Courier 12pt font, clear scene headings (INT./EXT.), character names in uppercase, and standard margins. Screenplays that do not follow these standards may result in inaccurate analysis or failure of the AI generation process. FilmPilot.ai does not provide refunds for orders that fail due to poorly formatted source material.
11. Limitation of Liability
FilmPilot.ai is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service.
12. Copyright and Trademark Responsibility
Users of FilmPilot.ai are solely responsible for ensuring they have the necessary permissions, rights, and licenses to use any copyrighted or trademarked materials in connection with our services. While our platform can generate content based on your inputs, the responsibility for verifying the legal right to use such materials (including but not limited to character names, logos, and story elements) lies entirely with the user. FilmPilot.ai does not monitor or verify the ownership of user-provided content, but we reserve the right to refuse service if we become aware of clear copyright or trademark violations.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to FilmPilot.ai at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
14. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of jurisdiction where FilmPilot.ai operates.
