Trust & Security

Your story stays yours.

FilmPilot.ai helps turn screenplays into audience insight and pre-production materials. That only works if filmmakers can trust us with their creative work. Here is how we handle it in plain language, without security theater.

Our core commitment

We process your work to provide the service, not to take ownership of it.

FilmPilot.ai does not claim ownership of your screenplay, images, characters, or other original creative materials. You retain ownership of your uploaded work. We do not use your scripts or creative work to train foundation AI models without your explicit consent.

This page supplements our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Data Processing Agreement, and AI Ethics & Transparency Policy. If those documents and this overview differ, the legal documents control.

01: The promises

What we will not do

  • We will not claim your creative work. Your screenplay and other original materials remain yours, subject to the limited service rights described in our Terms.
  • We will not quietly turn your script into a training dataset. Our stated policy is not to use your scripts or creative work to train foundation AI models without your explicit consent.
  • We will not sell your screenplay to advertisers or data brokers. FilmPilot.ai is a paid filmmaking service, not an advertising data business.
  • We will not represent AI-assisted output as human-authored. We identify the role of AI in our deliverables so you can make informed creative and professional decisions.
  • We will not ask you to put sensitive material in a public channel. Contact support for account issues, and use authenticated FilmPilot.ai workflows for project work.
02: What we handle

Different data, different purpose

FilmPilot.ai handles more than a screenplay. Keeping the categories clear helps us apply the right controls and gives you a realistic picture of what the service needs.

Your creative work

Project content

Screenplays, titles, production details, uploaded files, prompts, and generated materials. We use this to deliver the package or feature you request and to support your account.

Your account

Account and transaction data

Your name, email, login credentials, order details, and payment-related identifiers. Payment card information is handled by our payment processor rather than stored directly by FilmPilot.ai.

Service operations

Technical data

Information such as requests, errors, browser or device details, and usage needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site. We aim to keep operational logs separate from project content.

Your control

Deletion and access

You can request account deletion through the account deletion page. You can also contact us about privacy requests, corrections, or questions about your data.

Important distinction: FilmPilot.ai uses third-party infrastructure and AI services to perform requested work. We disclose those categories in our Privacy Policy and use providers that are appropriate for the requested processing. We do not claim that any online service is risk-free or that every provider offers identical retention terms.
03: AI processing

What happens when you ask FilmPilot.ai to generate something?

  1. You provide the material needed for a specific feature. For example, a screenplay may be needed for audience analysis, storyboards, character design, budgeting, scheduling, or another pre-production result.
  2. FilmPilot.ai sends the minimum context needed to process that request. The exact data flow depends on the feature and the current service configuration.
  3. The result comes back to your FilmPilot.ai workflow. AI-assisted outputs are tools for your judgment, not a guarantee of commercial success, artistic quality, legal clearance, or production readiness.
  4. Retention follows the feature and our published policies. We remove uploaded files from active processing systems after processing is complete where our workflow permits, and we describe broader handling in the Privacy Policy.

We do not paste your screenplay into a public search engine. If a feature relies on external information, it is designed to use that information for the requested result rather than publish your project.

04: How we protect it

Practical controls, honestly described

Encryption in transit

FilmPilot.ai is served over HTTPS/TLS so data is protected while moving between your browser and the service.

Access controls

Authenticated views are protected by login and Django's permission mechanisms. User-facing project and order workflows are tied to the logged-in account.

Managed infrastructure

Uploaded files and application data are hosted using managed cloud infrastructure with access credentials kept outside the source code.

Payments separated

A specialized payment processor handles payment processing. FilmPilot.ai uses transaction identifiers to manage orders and does not need to store your full card number.

Account deletion

Use our authenticated deletion request workflow to start an account and data review with the FilmPilot.ai team.

Responsible disclosure

Security researchers can report issues through our Responsible Disclosure Policy.

What we do not claim: This page is not a SOC 2 certification, penetration-test report, or guarantee that a breach can never occur. We will update this page as our controls mature rather than claim controls we have not independently verified.
05: Service providers

Who helps FilmPilot.ai run?

FilmPilot.ai relies on specialized providers so a small filmmaking platform can offer payments, email, hosting, storage, and AI-assisted processing. The list below describes roles; the Privacy Policy remains the authoritative subprocessors and data-handling document.

06: Honest answers

Questions filmmakers ask

Can FilmPilot.ai use my screenplay to train AI?

Our policy is that we do not use your scripts or creative work to train foundation AI models without your explicit consent. See the AI Ethics page and Privacy Policy for the binding language and current details.

Do I still own my screenplay and the output?

You retain ownership of your original uploaded materials. AI-generated output can have legal and provider-specific limitations, so review the Terms and do your own rights and clearance analysis before commercial use.

Can your team read my project?

Access is limited to what is needed to operate the service, provide support, investigate an issue, or comply with law. We do not promise that no authorized operator can ever access data, and we do not hide that operational reality behind a slogan.

How do I delete my account?

Sign in and use the Delete Account link in the navigation. Your request is sent to the FilmPilot.ai team for follow-up.

How do I report a security problem?

Follow our Responsible Disclosure Policy and provide enough detail to reproduce the issue. Please do not access other users' data or disrupt the service while researching.

07: Stay in the loop

Trust is an ongoing obligation.

We will revise this page when our infrastructure, providers, retention practices, or security program materially change. Questions, privacy requests, and security reports are welcome through our Contact page.
